Is reiki safe alongside medical treatments?

Yes. Reiki is a complementary therapy and is intended to work alongside your existing medical care. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical or psychological treatment. Many clients seek sessions while under the care of physicians, specialists, or therapists. My work remains within professional scope and respects your broader care team.

Reiki is associated with activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, the body’s rest-and-repair state. When the nervous system shifts out of chronic stress response, the body can redirect energy toward regulation, recovery, and restoration. Sessions are structured to support this physiological settling.

Sessions are conducted via Zoom. You remain fully clothed in a comfortable position in your own space. We begin with a brief, structured check-in, followed by approximately 45–50 minutes of Reiki. A short integration conversation closes the session. There is no requirement to speak during the energy portion unless you choose to.

Reiki does not cure or treat medical conditions. However, reducing physiological stress and improving nervous system regulation may support overall wellbeing. Many individuals managing chronic illness seek complementary therapies that focus on calming systemic stress response.

This depends on your goals and current stress load. Some clients book a single session for acute stress support. Others choose a short series (3–6 sessions) to encourage more consistent nervous system regulation. We can determine a structure that feels clinically appropriate for you.
